A successful backup is not proof of recoverability

SQL Recovery Assurance runs real restore-validation against your SQL Server backups — on your storage, under your encryption keys — so "Verified Recoverable" means what it says.

The recovery readiness standard

The 5-level Verified Recovery status

A successful backup is not proof a database can be recovered. Only a completed restore-validation workflow earns the “Verified Recoverable” status — levels 3 and 4 below. Nothing below level 3 may ever carry that label.

  1. 0

    File Present

The backup object or file exists in storage.

  2. 1

    Metadata Readable

SQL Server can read the backup header and file list.

  3. 2

    VERIFYONLY Passed

RESTORE VERIFYONLY succeeds — not the same as a real restore.

  4. 3

    Actual Restore Passed

The database is restored into an isolated test environment. Verified Recoverable.

  5. 4

    Integrity Verified

Restore succeeds and DBCC CHECKDB also passes. Verified Recoverable.

Capabilities

Built around one question: can you actually restore it?

Early-stage product — capabilities and pricing may change as we validate the workflow with early-access users.

Storage-agnostic, no lock-in

Backups write to native SQL Server formats on storage you choose and control. Nothing is held hostage by a proprietary format or a subscription that lapses.

Customer-controlled encryption

Encryption keys stay under your control, not ours. No customer SQL backup file is ever uploaded to a vendor cloud.

FCI and Always On aware scheduling

Backup policy understands standalone instances, Failover Cluster Instances and Always On Availability Groups — including which replica should take the backup.

Recovery-chain visualization

See the full chain — full, differential and log backups — needed to hit a given recovery point, before you ever need it under pressure.

Automated restore verification

Scheduled RESTORE VERIFYONLY and real restores into an isolated environment, with DBCC CHECKDB evidence — not just a green tick on a backup job.

Built for disconnected environments

Fully disconnected deployment with a signed offline licence for on-premises or air-gapped SQL Server estates — no mandatory internet dependency.

Who it's for

Suitable for

SQL Server DBAs

Evidence of recoverability you can hand to an auditor, a manager, or your future self at 2am.

Managed service providers

Consistent, auditable recovery status across every client SQL Server estate you manage.

IT teams without a full-time DBA

Automated verification does the checking a dedicated DBA would do manually, on a schedule.
